  • Loading jetty designed with two fixed fluffing / slewing ships loaders.

  • Only one ships loader is used for loading at one time due to the loading system design.

  • Usually the holds from after part are loaded by ships loader no. 1 and the holds from forepart are loaded by ships loader no. 2.

  • Ships loader  outreach  from fender face is 15 M (max air draft 17,5 MTRS )
  • Distance between the two fixed ships loader is 72 M

  • In  approaching  the  anchorage  please  contact  the port office on this frequency : VHF channel 12 SSB 9.343 KHZ  (  IBT Port Control ).

  • Please confirm to arrive your ship with all ballast tanks full. Also the ship’s trim at the berthing time should not exceed 2.5 M by the stern.

  • The conditions are needed by IBT operators in order to have a safe slewing of the ships loaders boom above the hatch coming.

§  Bunker and fresh water supply facilities not available, supply provision available if required please fax to your local agent  your provision list enable to relay and get their quotation asap.

§  PT. Adaro Indonesia cargo stowage factor : 42.5 CUFT per metric ton


  • During loading the vessel must be shifted alongside jetty for the hatch changes

-          One ships loader can reach only two hatches when is positioned between two hatches.
-          Experienced  from  previous shipment required about 34 hours to load cargo about 66,000 MT
-          To minimize the number of shifting to three it is suggested the following loading arrangement for a standard Panamax bulk carrier with seven hatches.

Usually when the vessel is berthed, the first position will have ships loader no. 1 between hatch #5 and hatch #6 and ships loader no. 2 between hatch #2 and hatch #3, for first run by normally total load approximate 50 %.

Please advice by return which arrangements will be used.
Note :  Additional vessel shifting  while loading activity  as Master request  over than  normal   IBT standard  will  be charged  by  terminal.

For the Super Panamax content of 5 cargo holds, loading Sequence will asf;

1 st  Arrangement

§  No . 2 , 4 , 1   ( 50 % )  shift
§  No . 3 , 5 , 3 , 5  ( 100 % )  shift
§  No.  1 ( 100 % )  shift
§  No. 2 , 4  ( 100 % ) include  final trimming

2 nd  Arrangement ;

§  No.  1 , 3  ( 50 % )  shift
§  No.  2 , 4 ,  2 , 4 ( 100 % )  shift
§  No.  5 ( 100 % )  shift
§  No.  1 , 3  ( 100 % ) include  final  trimming

For  Handy  Sizes Vessel  ( 45,000 DWT ) loading Sequence will asf ;

1st Arrangement ;

§  No. 1 , 2 ,  4  (  50 % ) shift
§  No.  3 , 5 , 3 , 5 ( 100 % )  shift
§  No. 1 , 2 ,  4  (   No. 2  full  ) shift
§  No. 1 , 4  ( 100 % )  include final trimming.

2 nd Arrangement ;

§  2 , 3 , 5  ( 50 % )  shift
§  1 , 4  , 1 , 4  ( 100 % )   shift
§  2 , 3 , 5  (  No.3  full )  shift

§  Last port of call with departure time
§  Vessels update crew list when available
§  SMC, DOC, deratting n tonnage certificate
§  Whether all ship’s certificate still valid until completion of loading
§  Pre s/plan bss on shipper cargo s/factor 42.5 CUFT per MT
§  Provision list if any
